Tip#6: Place your CTA Where the Eye Can See
Calls-to-action do best “above the fold” - the space where your web page is viewable to the user without having to scroll down. According to heat map analysis, anything “below the fold” will only be viewed by 50% of people who visit your page. Doubling impressions on your CTAs can significantly increase your lead count.
Notice the placement of the primary CTA on the Freshbooks homepage. Two buttons, one for "Try it Free" and one for "Get Started" stand out above the fold.
When it comes to CTA placement, be sure to have them above the fold where your visitors are sure to see them!
But, wait...what about blog posts and CTAs? Typically CTAs are placed at the bottom of a blog post and there is nothing wrong with that; however, if your content is difficult to skim or lengthy you could be losing conversion opportunities. You could try placing your relevant CTA in the sidebar or towards the upper half of the blog post. Just make sure it stands out if you are inserting in the middle of your blog post.
